Hi everybody,

My name is Maarten Eekels and I am CTO of Rapid Circle, one of the leading Microsoft Cloud implementation partners in the Netherlands. I am an experienced Microsoft Cloud and Security advocate and already since 2003 I am involved in implementing Microsoft technologies. Lately, I have been primarily involved in genAI projects, where I mainly focus on responsible AI and the ethical side of AI.

Besides that, I am mentoring start-ups and helping founders and leaders break through glass ceilings for growing their business and helping avoid certain pitfalls. Also, I am a regular speaker on both national and international events, like conferences, community events and user group meetings.

On April 1st, 2016 I was presented with the Microsoft MVP Award for Office Servers and Services. Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals, or MVPs, are technology experts who passionately share their knowledge with the community. They are always on the “bleeding edge” and have an unstoppable urge to get their hands on new, exciting technologies. They have very deep knowledge of Microsoft products and services, while also being able to bring together diverse platforms, products, and solutions, to solve real world problems. Currently, I am an MVP in the Microsoft 365 category

And on June 2nd, 2020 I had the honour to be accepted in the Microsoft Regional Director Program. Established in 1993, the program recognises the world’s top technology visionaries for their proven cross-platform technical expertise, community leadership, and commitment to business results. You will typically find Regional Directors keynoting at top industry events, leading community groups and local initiatives, running technology-focused companies, or consulting on and implementing the latest breakthrough within a multinational corporation.

• Regional Directors are recognized for their cross-platform technical expertise, community leadership, speaking experience, influence, and commitment to business results.
• Regional Directors advise Microsoft leaders, engineering, and product marketing teams on how to win in the marketplace
